In the European Union recent agreements have been reached to decrease harmful emissions by up to 80 percent and PM2.5 by almost a quarter. It is likely that similar agreements will be reached across the globe, with complications arising over inter-continent shipping nuances and those of intra-continent, such as the Great

Lakes.
